Audio interfaces, Headphones, iem’s, speakers!

I’ve tested my fair set of audio interfaces. a few iem’s and some speakers. headphones not as much. since the pair I got is good*

Audio interferences are interesting. logically you’d expect interfaces from aliexprsss to hiss a lot. or have mains hum. but there’s one that defies logic.. the cx31993… No hiss. No hum. 384khz, 32bit?! Not sure Linux supports such high sampling.

I’ve tried Interfaces 10x the cost and some were only 48khz, which is fine if your not recording audio slow-mo, But mains hum and digital hiss from the DAC ain’t funny. I’ve got no grounding on my computer. so if cx31993 can handle my PC, it will handle yours.

And iem’s are interesting to but less. I’ve got a few KZ’s and from what others said. apparently they are not good. no idea why. but they sound great to me. I’ve only had 3 sets of wireless iem’s, so not much to say but if you want some wireless ones, oppo ecno buds 2 / pro is the ones I’d say is good enough.

Headphones are Boaring. I’ve owned 3 sets in 1 year and each one broke, so I did the only reasonable thing one could do, go on aliexprsss and buy the Samson SR850.. not sure if they could be clones (like when you search up shure sm58 on ali) but sounds great to me, but too little bass.. I’m not saying anything because I’m a bass head, no seriously look at this chart:

and the only real bad thing is they are uncomy to wear traditionally. your whole ear in the ear cup, you want the foam padding on your outer ear (the pinna) to push against.

Audio interface: CX31993

[ + ] Amazing. Even if it would be 10x the cost.
[ - ] Included USB-C to USB adapter is bad.

Headphones: Samson SR850

[ + ] Sounds great.
[ - ] Uncomfy. (make the ear pad push against your pinna)

IEM: KZ Castor BASS

[ + ] Not EXTREAMLY bassy, Just perfect. 2 drivers, EQ setting.
[ - ] I actually don’t have any.. Sony SS-H790

Speakers: Sad news. you have to read in the TLDR.. or look at a different review Okay, so if your budget is tight. I’d look at older 3 driver speakers used. I’ve got some Sony SS-H790 and they are decent.
